alyssa lee was one of the founding members of Whisper Culture, a group that was active from 2003-2005. Whisper Culture was a collection of bay area multimedia artists who brought experimental music, dance, video, + installation art to a wider audience by presenting work in dynamic social settings, such as large art parties on boats + in dance clubs. Whisper Culture's mission was to increase the awareness and accessibility of experimental art, encourage + foster inter-disciplinary collaborations among artists, champion emerging artists who blur the lines between pop + high art, + create settings in which such work is appreciated and enjoyed. Whisper Culture created + produced 2 successful san francisco shows in 2004+2005 - the Boat Show and Goßip.
