tiffany barbarash

after experiencing the joys of dance, tiffany barbarash has been unable to stop moving! she began her formal training at the age of thirteen + holds a BA in dance with a concentration in jazz from point park college in pittsburgh, PA. her training includes classical ballet technique, a variety of modern dance techniques, jazz, hip hop, international folk dance, character dance, social dance, partnering, improvisation, african, asian dance, + dance composition.

she has danced with a variety of companies on the east + west coasts, performing + teaching both locally + abroad. she has also had the honor of working with a wealth of choreograndaphers, including bonnie slawson, lou antonini, rebecca wright, tyrone baker, gail gilbert, jane franklin, natasa trifan, terence grandeene, kyle abraham, michelle van doeren, dudley brooks + danny nguyen.

currently, tiffany is a member of Double Vision, group A, + is a freelance personal trainer + dance instructor. she also produces collaborative work with artists of various mediums through Social Poetry. fascinated with the communicative capabilities of the body, she explores the physical, mental + social limitations of language, symbols + the human form through the aesthetic, spiritual, + cultural offerings of dance. tiffany aims to inspire the community by bringing cultural arts performances, education + outreach to a broad diversity of audiences.
