melissa kennedy has a dancing problem. every few years she tries to quit, but it just won't take. a former midwesterner, melissa studied dance at the university of minnesota, twin cities, graduating in 2001 with degrees in dance + psychology. in her former home of minneapolis, melissa performed with catalyst dances by emily johnson, cynthia stevens' Insitu Dance, + with paula mann in Time Track Productions. melissa's life as a dancer has brought her to such fantastic places as alaska's kenai peninsula, austin, new york, + otterlo, netherlands. she has danced in a bog, in a couple of ponds, in lakes, among redwoods, in sculpture gardens, on a mountain, in an old soap factory, galleries + in the odd theater. when she is not giving in to powerful cravings to dance, melissa teaches pilates in san francisco. she is delighted to be performing with group A.
